2G scam: Alagiri's wife Kanthi meets Kanimozhi

NEW DELHI: With tears rolling down her eyes, Union Minister M K Alagiri's wife Kanthi today met her jailed sister-in-law Kanimozhi at a trial court here and consoled her.

Kanthi, who arrived here this morning, went to the court along with her son Durai Dayanithi and others to the special CBI court at the Patiala House court complex and they spoke to her for a few minutes.

As soon as Kanimozhi saw Kanthi sitting in the court room, Kanimozhi went straight to her and exchanged pleasantries. But, soon Kanthi broke down in the courtroom.

However, Kanimozhi was looking composed and was talking to Kanthi.

Then, both Kanimozhi and Kanthi went to the gallery where the DMK MP's mother Rajathi was sitting along with her grandson Aditya.

Kanthi sat between Kanimozhi and her mother Rajathi and was seen talking to them for sometime.

This is for the first time that members of Karunanidhi's family have met Kanimozhi ever since she was lodged in jail on Friday.
