2G case: Subramanian Swamy to move SC against HC ruling on Chidambaram

Swamy said that he would move the SC within a week challenging a Delhi Court's decision to dismiss his plea to make Chidambaram as a co-accused.

BHOPAL: Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy said that he would move the Supreme Court within a week challenging a Delhi Court's decision to dismiss his plea to make Union Home Minister P Chidambaram as a co-accused in the 2-G scam.

Swamy told a "Meet-The-Press" programme here that in his 70-para verdict delivered early this month, the trial court judge had agreed with him in 65 paras.

However, his appeal was dismissed as the trial court felt that he was unable to prove criminality on the part of Chidambaram, the then finance minister, Swamy said.

He maintained that he can prove this criminality only when Chidambaran is forced to undergo a cross-examination.

Meanwhile attacking the Nehru- Gandhi family, Swamy said that the time had come to free the Congress from the clutches of the family.

He said that the Nehru-Gandhi family has produced only one good leader and he was Rajiv Gandhi.
