25 year old arrested for planning attacks in cities

A 25 year old youth has been arrested by Mumbai police allegedly for planning attacks in some of the metro cities in the country. The youth, identified as Faizal was first tracked by the Special Task Force of Kolkata Police while the cops were investigating into a different case. The ATS, Mumbai was later contacted and he was arrested.

Faizal, a resident of Mumbai was trained in Pakistan, said sources. “ He is a member of LeT. But we are still working on inputs. He had been sent to India for planning major attacks in some metro cities,” said a senior police official.

Both the ATS of Mumbai police and STF of Kolkata police are jointly working in this case. “ We are trying to track his past movements, so that we can trace the money trail involved. Moreover, we are also trying to track other members of his team,” added the official.
