25 MLAs suspended from Chhattisgarh assembly

Twenty five MLAs of Chhattisgarh were suspended from the State assembly for violating the House rule.

RAIPUR: Twenty five MLAs of Chhattisgarh were suspended on Wednesday from the State assembly for violating the House rule.
The members including leader of Opposition Mahendra Karma, PCC President Dhanendra Sahu, acting PCC President Satya Narayan Sharma, NCP President Novel Verma were suspended from the House for violating the House rule, Speaker Prem Prakash Pandey said.
Congress through a call attention motion raised several questions on the issue of disputed land of Bodosara, where a group of dalits wanted to construct a religious place on a private land.
Not satisfied with the answer of the Government the Congress and NCP members entered the well of the House.
According to House rule any one entering the well of the House will be automatically suspended.
However, the Speaker had not announced the tenure of suspension.
