24 Tamil Nadu fishermen's remand extended by Sri Lankan court till November 21
RAMESWARAM (TN): A Sri Lankan Court today extended till November 21 the remand of 24 Tamil Nadu fishermen, arrested for allegedly fishing in the island nation's territorial waters in September and October.

Oorkavalthurai court magistrate ordered the extension of the remand when the fishermen were produced there, Rameswaram Fishermen Organisation president S Emerit said quoting information received by him from Sri Lanka.

The fishermen belonging to Rameswaram, Nagapattinam and Jegathapattinam were arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy personnel near Katchatheevu and Neduntheevu on September 27 and on October 7 this year.
