NEW DELHI: The 21st century belongs to India and China as the two Asian countries will dominate the rest of the world, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said today.

"When the history of 21st century will be written, it would rotate around two giants -- India and China, which will dominate the world," he said at an event organised to launch the Chinese edition of BJP MP Tarun Vijay's book 'Modi - Rise of a new star'.

The Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions said the two nations have "so much in common" that they can do business with each other better than any other nation.

"West is looking at us not out of courtesy or out of mercy," he said, adding, they understand that India and China would be dominating them and, therefore, they want to maintain goodwill with the two nations to secure their future.

He said Tarun has also "cleary made a place for himself" in the world of history by "becoming one of the first authors to write about the unique relations between Indian and China."

Others who attended the function were BJP MPs Udit Raj, Ramesh Bidhuri, Ambassador of China in India Le Yucheng, Vice Minister of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of China Sun Shoushan and former Ambassador TCA Rangachari.
