Amit Shah launches 'Amrit Kalash Yatra' in Delhi
"During the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', Prime Minister Narendra Modi has organised more than two lakh programmes, which have worked to rekindle the feeling of patriotism once again, and it will end with the 'Meri Maati-Mera Desh' programme," he said.

Shah said that the idea behind this programme is that every individual, family, citizen, and child should connect emotionally with the idea of creation of the "great India".
He said that from September 1-30, every household, ward, and village will collect the ‘Mitti’ or grains in a pot, following it up from October 1-13 at the block and later from October 22-27 at state level, and finally from October 28-30, these 7,500 pots will reach New Delhi, the capital of the country.
"Through this programme, anyone can contribute to make India a great nation. It is a way to connect people to India's future," the home minister said. "Two lakh programmes were held under the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’programme and crores of Indians participated in it. This is not just an event but an emotion," he added.
The campaign was announced by PM Modi to celebrate the "achievements of the nation and its bravehearts." During his Mann Ki Baat address on August 2, PM Modi said that the 'Meri Mati, Mera Desh' campaign will be launched to honour soldiers killed inaction.
