Fresh violence erupts in Manipur's Tamenglong district after two Kuki-Zo women were killed in their fields and multiple farmhouses were torched in Leisang village.
The deceased were identified as Chonga Sitlhou and Kimboi Singson. Singson had recently completed her nursing studies and was helping her family at their farm when the attack occurred.
Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM), the apex body of Kukis, condemned the "unprovoked attack" and killing of villagers, alleging that NSCN-IM and ZUF (Kamson) were responsible.

In a statement, KIM said, "Over the past three days... six innocent Kuki villagers have reportedly been killed in cold blood. Today, two women, residents of Muktokhal (Leisangphai) village, who had gone to their jhum fields, were reportedly waylaid and shot dead in their own fields by NSCN-IM and its cohorts."
