NEW DELHI: After sending Pakistan packing for 231, India squandered early advantage by losing Dinesh Karthik who was bowled by pace spearhead Shoaib Akhtar on the second day of the first cricket Test at Ferozshah Kotla stadium here on Friday. Karthik managed only nine.

Earlier, the stiff resistance by Pakistan late order came to an end with the dismissal of Danish Kaneria who was bowled by India skipper Anil Kumble.

The visitors were 210/8 at stumps on Day 1 with Misbah-ul-Haq unbeaten on 71 and Sami on 20 runs.

The first to depart this morning was Misbah Ul-Haq who was run out by Dinesh Karthik. Misbah made a fighting 82 .
