1,790 cases resolved at Lok Adalat

GREATER NOIDA: As many as 1,790 cases, including those pertaining to bank loan and matrimonial disputes, were resolved at a Lok Adalat held at the district court here.

The Lok Adalat held here yesterday resolved 1,484 petty criminal cases, 98 bank loan cases, 43 matrimonial cases, 138 electricity act cases, according to Niraj Gautam, secretary of District Legal Services Authority.

Alongside Rs 10 lakh was given as compensation to the victims of two motor accident cases. In three succession disputes, Rs 14,10,934 was provided and settled.

Total fine collected amounted to Rs 1,14,460, Gautam said.
