172 roads, 98 bridges damaged in floods in Poonch: Altaf Bukhari

Mostly the roads have been restored except some of the bridges which are under re-construction, the minister said.

JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir government today said that 172 roads and 98 bridges have been damaged during flash floods in Poonch district in September last year.

The cost of damages has been worked out to Rs 6059.32 lakh against which an amount of Rs 1982.88 lakh has so far been released, Minister for Roads and Buildings Altaf Bukhari said in a written reply in the state Legislative Assembly.

Mostly the roads have been restored except some of the bridges which are under re-construction, the minister said.
