West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday said 160 central teams have been sent to Bengal in the past 30 months and funds for 63 central schemes to the state have been stopped. Recalling Netaji Subhas Bose's famous "Delhi Chalo" clarion call 80 years back, Banerjee raised the same slogan to oust the BJP, to restore of rights of the common people in the 100-day work programme and other central schemes, and to prevent discrimination against Bengal.

Banerjee lashed out at the BJP in Howrah on Thursday for allegedly attacking the Muslims in the month of Ramzan on the occasion of Ram Navami.

"Altogether 160 central teams have been sent to Bengal in the last one year and all funds to Bengal has been stopped," she said, claiming "they (BJP) want to demolish our Constitution and our democratic rights."

"I will unite all together and you will never be able to break us and get us defeated in 2024," Banerjee said, hinting at the central BJP leadership. She claimed that payment for the 100-day job scheme is mandatory as per the Constitution.
