16 people tested positive in Tripura

Guwahati: In Tripura on Sunday at least 16 people were found Covid-19 positive.

Chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb tweeted, "16 persons found #COVID19 POSITIVE in Tripura from 86th-Bn #BSF (Official:1, Female:6, Children: 9).We are conducting max number of tests. 75 Samples from 3rd-Bn BSF tested but all reports are NEGATIVE."

On Saturday 17 persons were found COVID-19 positive in Tripura. At least 30 people in Tripura found positive for COVID-19 on Friday.


Nearly 24 persons from BSF in tripura tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday. At least 22 persons from the BSF battalion in Tripura was tested positive for Covid 19 on Wednesday.

Tripura state government has asked the BSF to inquire into the origin of the cases and detail the steps taken to arrest further spread the same.
