15,000 pilgrims to Amarnath shrine so far
JAMMU: Amid tight security, the eighth batch comprising 1,770 pilgrims today left from the base camp here to the holy cave shrine of Amarnath in South Kashmir Himalayas.

With today's batch, as many as 15,602 pilgrims have so far left from Jammu base camp for Amarnath shrine.

In the latest batch 1,319 men, 332 women, 19 children and 100 sadhus left in a cavalcade of 55 vehicles from Bhagwati Nagarbase camp here at 05:05 AM, a police official said.
