15 Tamil Nadu fishermen remanded to judicial custody
RAMESWARAM: A Sri Lankan court has remanded to judicial custody 15 fishermen arrested by the Lankan navy in separate incidents, Fishermen Association representatives today said.

Mechanised Boats Fishermen Association president T Sesuraja said nine fishermen had been remanded till September 16 while six others till September 17 by the Oorkavalturai Court.

All of them have been lodged in Jaffna prison, officials said.

While nine fishermen were arrested when they were returning from the Palk Straits, six others were arrested while they fishing near Katchathivu, yesterday.
