15 Bills to come up in West Bengal House during brief Winter Session

Altogether 15 Bills would come up for discussion and passing during the brief Winter Session of the West Bengal Assembly, which has begun here today.

KOLKATA: Altogether 15 Bills would come up for discussion and passing during the brief Winter Session of the West Bengal Assembly, which has begun here today.

The Business Advisory Committee of the House today finalised the schedule of at least four of these bills which would be moved in the House from November 10 to November 13, the Government Chief Whip Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay said.

While The West Bengal University of Teachers' Training, Education, Planning and Administration Bill-2014 would come up in the House on November 10, The Raiganj University Bill-2014, The Neotia University Bill-2014 and The JIS University Bill-2014 would come up in the House for discussion and passing on November 11, 12 and 13 respectively, Chattopadhyay said.

The House was today adjourned for the day after obituary references by Speaker Biman Banerjee.

All the members in the House stood up and observed two minutes' silence as a mark of respect to ten eminent persons and former members of the House who died recently.
