NEW DELHI: Embattled Indian tycoon Vijay Mallya wants a "reasonable" settlement with creditor banks to his defunct airline, he said in an interview in London published by the Financial Times. Mallya said he was in "forced exile" and had no plans to leave Britain. Here are 10 things he said in his interview:

1) People think I am flamboyant, but I am actually quite simple. Nothing wrong in wearing a colourful piece of clothing

2) I am a patriot but feel safer in UK

3) Want to close a painful chapter in an otherwise spectacular business career

4) By taking my passport or arresting me, they are not getting any money

5) I definitely would like to return. I'm interested in a settlement with Kingfisher lenders and I'm willing to reach out.

6) The manner in which my passport was suspended and then revoked is unprecedented and done with haste.

7) Never been able to understand where this Rs 9,000 crore dues amount came from.
