NEW DELHI: Ten new additional secretary level appointments were announced by the government on Monday night, the most notable being the additional secretary in the Department of Expenditure in finance ministry, Rajiv Kumar, being moved to Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

The home ministry has got a new additional secretary in 1984 batch IAS officer from Madhya Pradesh, Jaideep Govind. IAS officer Vinod Kumar Thakral has been moved as Additional Secretary from Ministry of Steel to the Information and Broadcasting (I&B) Ministry, swapping places with Bharti S Sihag who moves from I&B to Ministry of Steel.

Pritam Singh, a 1984 batch IAS officer from Rajasthan has been brought to Centre as additional secretary in Corporate Affairs ministry while his batchmate AP Sawhney from Andhra Pradesh is now coming to the Centre as Additional Secretary in the Petroleum Ministry. BK Tripathi, a 1983 batch officer from Jharkhand is also coming to the Centre as Member Secretary, NCR Planning Board in Ministry of Urban Development, as per orders issued by the ACC on Monday night.
