10 LTTE suspects acquitted by Bangalore court in bomb case

A local court today acquitted 10 LTTE suspects who were being tried for allegedly possessing explosives and substances used for making bombs.

BANGALORE: A local court today acquitted 10 LTTE suspects who were being tried for allegedly possessing explosives and substances used for making bombs.

Sessions Judge M S Balakrishna acquitted the 10 accused for lack of evidence.

The ten were arrested by Frazer town police in the city in 2002. They were in judicial custody and were subsequently granted bail by Supreme Court and Karnataka High Court.

Two others arrested in the case died some years ago.
