10 injured in clash over eve teasing in Muzaffarnagar

MUZAFFARNAGAR: Atleast 10 people were injured when a clash broke out between two groups after members of one group eve-teased a woman shopkeeper in Kidwainagar area here, police said today.

The incident took place yesterday when the woman was eve-teased by few men and others objected to it. The clash turned violent with the two groups using arms and bricks to hurt each other, they said.

A case has been registered in this regard and the injured were rushed to the hospital where their condition was stated to be stable.

Meanwhile, a 55-year-old man identified as Mehboob was found murdered in the same locality.

Prima facie he was strangulated to death, police said adding, a case has been registered against two persons in this connection on basis of the complaint filed by the victim's family.
