Nepal Flood News Live Updates: The death toll from devastating floods in Nepal has risen to 162, with 468 tourists, mainly foreigners, reported out of contact. At least 34 Australians are among those missing, Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong said. Meanwhile, 558 people are missing in Tibet following floods, according to Chinese state media. Meanwhile, at least 37 tourists from Tamil Nadu and 77 members of the Isha Foundation are reported missing.
A sudden, massive flood swept through two Nepal districts bordering Tibet, killing four people, leaving 400 others missing and causing extensive devastation in settlements along the river including to a dozen hydropower projects.
The flood surged through the Bhote Koshi River at around 9 am (local time) coming from the Tibet side affecting Rasuwa and Dhading districts bordering Tibet and Nuwakot district, southwest of Kathmandu, officials said.
Houses, roads and power projects were swept away in Nepal, while officials in Tibet said they feared "major casualties" with some missing in the county of Gyirong after a mudslide hit a border land crossing.
Initial reports suggested that an earthquake in the area could have triggered an avalanche and caused the floods, Nepal's foreign minister Shisir Khanal told the country's parliament on Wednesday, local media reported.

Nepal Flash Flood Live: Telangana government sets up helpline
The helpline has been set up following a directive from Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, an official release said.
The government is closely monitoring the situation, and Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi, has been directed to coordinate with the Ministry of External Affairs, the Embassy of India in Kathmandu and other concerned authorities, as may be required, for facilitating necessary assistance to Telangana residents, it said.

The floods in Nepal are likely to cause a rise in water levels in the Gandak and Narayani rivers in the two districts, officials said.
The Relief Commissioner's Office has issued an advisory for Uttar Pradesh residents affected by the floods in Nepal, urging their relatives to immediately contact the state helpline number 1070 if anyone from the state is stranded in Nepal or requires any assistance.
Several people from Uttar Pradesh were believed to be stranded in the neighbouring country.
