In announcements made at the site, police urged people not to break or attempt to cross barricades and to refrain from obstructing officers in the discharge of their duties or blocking the path of the general public.
Police also asked those gathered to disperse peacefully from the area.

The deployment will be round-the-clock, with 14 companies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) also sought to strengthen security, DCP Railway B. Bharat Reddy told ANI on Friday.
Police are monitoring social media, coordinating with Railway Protection Force (RPF) intelligence units and keeping watch on train movements to track potential mobilisation for the protest, Reddy said. He added that there are no restrictions on train passengers, but legal action will be taken against anyone violating law and order.

Police have instructed teams to detain anyone attempting to stage a protest, irrespective of location, as the party demands the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Police have maintained that permission has not been granted for the demonstration.
Security arrangements include facial recognition systems, additional CCTV cameras, rooftop spotters and drones. Police teams have also been authorised to carry batons, while Central Armed Police Forces units have been instructed not to issue weapons for the deployment.
Detained protesters will be taken to six designated centres, including Chhatrasal Stadium, Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Yamuna Sports Complex, Surajmal Stadium and community centres in Daulatpur and Pandrawal.
Additional women personnel from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana have also been called in. Several student outfits and political groups are expected to join the demonstration.

Interchange facilities will remain available at all affected stations, except New Delhi metro station, the DMRC said in a revised service update.
