The weather office said many areas could receive light to moderate rain of up to 15 mm per hour, while some areas may see heavier rainfall. Rain is expected to continue over the national capital for the next two days.
In other news, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov in New Delhi to discuss ways to strengthen economic cooperation between India and Russia. Both sides agreed to advance negotiations on a Bilateral Investment Treaty aimed at creating a mutually beneficial framework to enhance investment flows and economic engagement. They also discussed opportunities to further strengthen cooperation in the financial services sector.

GFF 2026: Nitin Gadkari targets barrier-free tolling by February as FASTag cuts wait times by up to 90%
Union minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday said India is moving towards fully digital and eventually barrier-free tolling, with a multi-lane free flow (MLFF) system expected to be operational at toll plazas by February as the government seeks to eliminate stoppages, cut fuel consumption and reduce the cost of toll operations.
Speaking at the Global Fintech Fest, Gadkari said FASTag has already transformed toll collection by sharply reducing waiting times and eliminating the need for cash and change at toll plazas. The next step, he said, is to ensure vehicles do not have to stop at toll plazas at all.
