Zulfiqar Khan, Balaji Telefilms EX-COO reportedly murdered by Kenya’s 'killer' police unit: Report

Zulfiqar Ahmad Khan, the former COO of Balaji Telefilms has been missing since July. Ekta Kapoor has urged the Indian government to find him.

The small-screen czarina took to Instagram and shared a post asking the Government of India to send a search party for her missing employee.

She shared a picture of Khan and posted a caption, "Our ex coo of @balajitelefilmslimited has disappeared from Nairobi almost three months ago. I request @meaindia @kenyaredcross to kindly look into this (sic)."


According to some reports, Zaid Sami Kidwai and Zulfiqar Khan are reportedly murdered by the Kenyan SSU. They were involved in the digital campaign named Kenya Kwanza and went missing in Kenya almost 90 days ago. A close aide of the Kenyan President has claimed that SSU killed them.

Zulfiqar Ahmad Khan, the ex-COO of Balaji Telefilms, his friend Zaid Sami Kidwai, and a taxi driver named Nicodemus Mwania were reportedly killed by the banded DCI unit of Kenya.

According to a news report of PTI, a close aid of William Ruto, the President of Kenya, stated that the SSU (Special Service Unit) is responsible for the disappearance of Zulfiqar Khan and his friend Zaid Sami Kidwai.

Zulfiqar Khan was a part of the Kenya Kwanza digital campaign team. He was the COO of Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms and a former executive of the Indian entertainment channel Star Plus. The family members of Khan have raised multiple complaints regarding his disappearance and have tried their ways to find out his whereabouts since the day he went missing.

As per Itumbi, the evidence reveals that the disbanded DCI unit blocked Khan and Kidwai’s cab. They were pushed into the unit’s car and were murdered in ‘killer waiting bey’. The ‘killer waiting bey‘ is a car that the SSU used to kill Kenyans formerly.



Speaking about the missing Indians earlier, MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi had said, “India has been in touch with the Kenyan authorities on the matter. As far as we understand, there were two Indian nationals, Zulfiqar Ahmad Khan and Zaid Sami Kidwai, and they have been missing in Kenya since mid-July. A police complaint was filed there soon after that."

“Subsequently, a habeas corpus petition was filed in the Kenyan court. We understand that the issue is now sub-judice in the high court of Kenya and a number of hearings have taken place," Bagchi said.
