Zika virus detected in Pune patient: Here's all we know about his symptoms

On November 16, the patient arrived at Jahangir Hospital with a fever, a cough, joint pain, and weariness. On November 18, a private lab made the Zika virus infection diagnosis for him. The health department noted that the patient is now clinically stable and free of problems.
The Maharashtra health department declared in a formal statement that: Maharashtra has received reports of the Zika virus. A 67-year-old man patient was discovered in Bavdhan, Pune. He is from Nashik and arrived in Pune on 6 November, having previously visited Surat on 22 October. It has been verified that he had contracted the Zika virus. The patient is currently in clinical stability with no issues.

Notably, this is Maharashtra's third Zika virus case. In the past, the virus spread by mosquito bites was discovered in a seven-year-old girl in Maharashtra's Palghar district. Before this, the first patient was discovered in Pune in July of the previous year.
The Zika virus was initially identified in a monkey in Uganda in 1947, and it first created an epidemic there in 2007 before erupting in Latin America in 2015, particularly in Brazil. It is brought on by a virus that the Aedes mosquito mostly spreads.
Mild fever, rashes, conjunctivitis, soreness in the muscles and joints, malaise, and headaches are some of the signs of the Zika virus.
