Legendary singer Asha Bhosle was cremated with full state honours on Monday at the Shivaji Park Crematorium in Mumbai. At the iconic singer's funeral, Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj was spotted paying his last respects to Asha Bhosle. A video from the funeral has gone viral on social media which shows him consoling Zanai Bhosle, Asha Bhosle's granddaughter.

In the video, Mohammed Siraj can be seen hugging and offering support to her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle, with whom she shares a close sibling bond.

Md Siraj and Zanai Bhosle's bond

According to reports, Mohammed Siraj and Zanai share an amicable bond. Last year, Zanai shared a heartwarming video of herself tying a rakhi on the cricketer's hand. Siraj's emotional interaction with Zanai Bhosle has deeply moved people online and left them emotional.

This is not the first time that Mohammed Siraj and Zanai Bhosle have been spotted together. They were seen earlier as well at events and celebrations, including her birthday gatherings. Their public appearances had earlier sparked speculation about a relationship. Zanai Bhosle had clarified that they share a sibling-like bond and consider each other family.

Last year, on Raksha Bandhan, Zanai tied a Rakhi to Siraj, making it clear that their bond is that of a sister and brother.

The singer shared a post on Instagram with a short caption that read, “Happy Rakhi ❣️ Couldn’t have asked for better (sic)." In the video, Zanai is seen tying the Rakhi while Siraj smiles.

In the video, now going viral online, Mohammed Siraj can be seen moving through the gathered crowd during the antim darshan. He is later seen meeting Zanai, who appears visibly emotional and breaks down. Siraj is seen comforting her and remaining by her side. She is seen resting her head on his chest and crying, while Siraj consoles her and stays by her side.

Who is Zanai Bhosle?

Zanai Bhosle is the daughter of Anand and Anuja Bhosle and shared a deeply affectionate bond with her grandmother. Over the years, she was often seen spending time with Asha Bhosle, reflecting a close-knit family relationship that makes this loss even more personal. In fact, Asha Bhosle's last post was about her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle in which she conveyed her best wishes for the release of her album.

Zanai Bhosle is ready to step into Bollywood. She will soon make her film debut in The Pride Of Bharat – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, where she plays Rani Sai Bhonsale, wife of the Maratha warrior king. Alongside acting, she is also a trained singer and dancer.
