Yuzi Chahal became a popular trend on social media during the match between India and Ireland. It's not because of the T20I match between Ireland and the Indian cricket team that Chahal made it to the popular list. Due to the chilly weather in Dublin, he was wearing a beanie as he stood on the field. For cricket enthusiasts, seeing a player on the field with a woollen cap was somewhat rare. Many people actually found it amusing. The next thing social media users did was what they do best: make memes out of commonplace items and find humour in them.

Leg-spinner Chahal flourished in spite of this and on a wicket that favoured fast bowlers. He played a crucial role in India's seven-wicket victory in the 12-over match by conceding only 11 runs in his three overs at an economy rate of 3.66 and getting Lorcan Tucker out in a tight spell.

Yuzi felt the game to be really challenging considering the cold conditions. He tried finger spinning during the match. He thought it could be challenging at times, but one must adjust to every circumstance.

After the game, Chahal stated that he was not okay with the cold and said he was wearing three sweaters even during the game. Chahal, who was named Player of the Game, gave all-arounder Hardik Pandya credit for letting him bowl the way he wanted.
