West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced that its new scheme, ‘Banglar Yuva Sathi’, will be launched from April 1. Under the Yuva Sathi scheme, the West Bengal government will provide financial assistance of Rs 1,500 per month to unemployed youth while they search for jobs or pursue skill development opportunities. The programme is expected to be rolled out from April 1, 2026, with applications being accepted through special registration camps.

How to download Yuvar Sathi forms?

The West Bengal sports and youth department has a forms page on the official portal where the Banglar Yuva Sathi forms are listed (Application Form-A, Self Declaration, Bank Mandate Form). These will be downloadable in PDF format once they’re officially released.

Yuva Sathi Yojna: How to apply

The applications for 'Yuva Sathi Yojna' will be distributed and accepted at each assembly constituency-based camps from February 15 to February 26. In addition, the sample application forms can also be downloaded from the official website at wbsportsandyouth.gov.in.

Register using a mobile number and verify with OTP.

Enter personal and bank details.

Upload a passport‑size photo, Aadhaar card, Madhyamik mark sheet and bank passbook.

Submit the form and note the generated application ID for future reference

Yuva Sathi Eligibility

The Yuva Sathi scheme will be given to individuals aged 21-40, and they must have passed secondary school until they secure employment.

In addition, the applicant must also be a resident of West Bengal to be eligible for the financial assistance.

Beneficiaries already receiving support under other West Bengal government welfare schemes will not be eligible.

This exclusion applies to schemes other than scholarship programmes.

Scholarship schemes such as Aikyasree, Medhasree, Sikhasree (smart card scheme), and Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Scholarship are exempt from this restriction.

Applicants availing only the above-mentioned scholarships can still apply for the Banglar Yuva Sathi scheme.

Yuva Sathi Yojna: Documents needed

The applicant will have to submit photocopies of various documents, including bank’s passbook, ID proof, Class 10 certificates, and a passport-size photo, among others. After submission, applicants can track the status using the application ID or registered mobile number on the portal.
