Why was PewDiePie banned from Twitch?
PewDiePie’s Twitch channel has been removed. The following message shows against his account page: "This channel is temporarily unavailable due to violation of Twitch's Community Guidelines or Terms of Services."
The reason could be that PewDiePie is mainly a YouTuber and not a Twitch influencer. In 2020, PewDiePie signed an exclusive live streaming contract with YouTube. Since then, he has not been active on Twitch. In March 2023, there was some activity on his account, leaving fans wondering. Apparently, CoPilotMedia had taken over PewDiePie's Twitch channel and was broadcasting his old content again, including full episodes of Trailer Park Boys, according to reports.
Who is PewDiePie?
PewDiePie is a popular YouTuber from Sweden whose real name is Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg. He is married to Marzia. The couple is expecting their first child together and regularly share updates about their pregnancy on social media.
While the details of this violation are not known, PewDiePie has previously made controversial remarks, including anti-Semitic ones, in his videos. In 2017, he was dropped by Disney and YouTube for some time.
After the Twitch ban, fans are supporting and defending him.
