Resignation Letter is the newest trend on the internet and YouTube India just upped the ante on that one with its latest post. The new trend is about funny and short resignation letters netizens are coming up with on social media.

On Thursday, YouTube India posted a hilarious handwritten resignation letter. The letter simply said, “To whomsoever it may concern, chaliye khatam karte hain! (let’s end it!). Yours sincerely.”

YouTube is not the only corporation to join the trend. Replying YT India’s post, Bajaj Capital tweeted a resignation letter that was equally hilarious. The resignation letter contains lines from a popular Bollywood song. It says, “Dear Sir, meri neend, mera chain mujhe lauta do, warna mera ho gaya. Yours, sincerely.”

Writing a resignation letter is one of the most difficult chores of one’s professional career. Experts have argued that many unsatisfied either continue to work for years before of the lack of courage to resign. On the other hand, many employees choose to abscond instead of resigning to simply postpone the pressure the process of resignation brings. Many reports suggest that resigning is a psychologically uncomfortable affair, especially owing to the societal stigma around quitters.

However, the ‘resignation letter’ trend has lightened the seriousness and pressure around resignations. YouTube India’s post left the Twitterati in splits. While most of these comments are a part of a healthy joke, such posts coming from giants like YouTube and Bajaj Capital indicate that the corporate world is slowly trying to destigmatize resignations. Many Twitter users jokingly commented that they’ve got to use the statement, while some termed the post a ‘Legend’. Some users said they found the post ‘highly helpful’.

NCMOULY said that YouTube India has come up with a perfect solution for professionals looking for a ‘nice resignation letter’. He mentioned that saying goodbye and parting ways was hard, especially through a resignation letter. Yagyesh Bansal thanked YouTube for telling him what he should write for his own resignation.
