Youtube brings ‘Multiview’ feature allowing four sports streams to be viewed at the same time. Read more here

Youtube TV has launched Multiview in early access in the United States. Under this feature, the viewers would be able to watch four simultaneous sports streams at the same time on their Television Screen. Currently, the company will send the invites to the user who is selected for this early access and then the feature will gradually be rolled out to everyone.

Last year, it was rumoured that Multiview will be named Mosaic Mode for running simultaneous four feeds on the screen. In its current form, the feature is extremely useful for sports fans who want to be in touch with different sports at the same time. Currently, the only way to watch multiple sports is to have multiple monitors. YouTube has also revealed that they have used the existing “Go Live Together” feature of the platform for Multiview. Go Live Together allows YouTube streamers to go live with a guest.

The company has also announced that the feature will be handled by YouTube servers. As a result, users streaming devices like Chromecast, Roku, and Apple TV would not have to perform graphic-intensive

processing and would result in seamless viewing.

Apart from Multiview, YouTube has also launched several other features to woo sports fans. They have unveiled 4K streaming, Key Plays, and Fantasy view. Key Plays allows a user to jump into the important moments of the game and the Fantasy view is for following your Fantasy Football team. Google has also shown interest in bringing the feature to Smart Televisions.
