Sunil Gavaskar took the entire cricket fandom in a blow with his latest remark towards ex-Indian captain Sourav Ganguly. The incident happened on Live TV ahead of the IND vs BAN 2nd test match.

Apart from cricket, Gavaskar and Ganguly have a keen interest in football and have been an ardent football lover for long. In 2014, Sourav Ganguly was one of the founding members of Atletico de Kolkata club. Later the club was merged into Mohun Bagan.
Contrarily, Gavaskar is a huge fan of Arsenal. During the 2nd day of the IND vs BAN test match pre show, he shared some instances of the conversation with his son who is a Manchester United fan. Tired from his constant teasing, Gavaskar’s son asked him to name 4 players from the Arsenal team. He named Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, and Arsene Wenger who had a sharp resemblance with ML Jaisimha.
Recalling about the star footballer, Henry signed a shirt for him during one of the incidents. The shirt is currently with Sourav Ganguly. He stated that he will be going to Kolkata for the match on January 12, 2023 and would expect Sourav to return the shirt signed by Thierry Henry back to him. He added that as Sourav is not the BCCI president now, he will have more time to find the shirt and pass it to him during his Kolkata visit.
