You can watch Stree-2, Goat, and more movies for just Rs 99 at multiplexes on September 20: Here's how

The Multiplex Association of India (MAI) has announced that National Cinema Day will be observed on September 20 this year. National Cinema Day allows film enthusiasts to watch movies for just Rs 99 in cinema halls nationwide. Participating cinema chains include PVR INOX, Cinepolis, Miraj, Movie Time, and Delite. Over 4,000 screens across the country will show films to celebrate the event. However, movies in 3D, recliners, and premium formats are not included. Most theaters are expected to provide this special offer.

National Cinema Day 2024: Movies

The line-up features a variety of films, ranging from new releases like "Yudhra," "Kahan Shuru Kahan Khatam," "Navra Maza Navsacha – 2," "Sucha Soorma," "Never Let Go," and "Transformers One" to last week’s releases "The Buckingham Murders" and "Ardaas Sarbat De Bhale Di."

Long-standing hit "Stree 2," which has been popular since its release on August 15, will also be screened. Additionally, "Tumbbad" (2018) and "Veer Zaara" (2004) were re-released on September 13 and are available for viewers.


“This special occasion brings audiences of all ages together for a day of cinematic bliss, celebrating the incredible success of multiple films at the box office this year. It's a heartfelt 'thank you' to all the moviegoers who contributed to this success and an open invitation to those who haven't yet returned to their local cinema,” said the association in a statement.

This marks the third edition of National Cinema Day, with previous editions attracting over 6 million admissions.
