Yet another cross-border love story: Jodhpur man virtually marries Pak girl amid visa restrictions
In another cross-border love story, Ameena from Karachi and Arbaaz from Jodhpur recently held a virtual wedding at Jodhpur's Oswal Samaj Bhawan. While Arbaaz and his procession were physically present, Ameena participated virtually from Pakistan. ...

The families of Arbaaz and Ameena shared a prior connection, as one of Arbaaz's family members had been previously married to a Pakistani girl. This pre-existing bond further solidified their relationship. Ameena's family proposed the marriage proposal to Arbaaz's family, who readily agreed.
Both Arbaaz and Ameena expressed the desire for Ameena to secure an Indian visa, enabling her to journey to Jodhpur for a face-to-face meeting with her husband. Their marriage was made official with a certificate obtained from a cleric, ensuring its legality.
As per the HT report, Mohammad Afzal, Arbaaz's father, shared, "A grandson of mine is a chartered accountant, who is married to a girl from Pakistan. Seeing their happiness, Ameena's family asked for our son's hand in marriage, which we accepted."
As their relationship progresses, Ameena will pursue an Indian visa. Arbaaz, a DTP operator, noted, "I didn't marry in Pakistan as it would not be recognised and we would have to remarry on reaching India. A bride from Pakistan does not get an Indian visa to get married. Hence, we got married online and obtained a certificate from the cleric, which is legal."
