Yesterday cricket match results: 'We started off well but...', Pakistan coach makes bizarre remark after losing to India by 61 runs
Yesterday's match results: Pakistan was defeated by India by 61 runs in the T20 World Cup match. After the match Pakistan's coach Mike Hesson said they started off well but the way Ishan Kishan played the game, he took the game away from them. Hes...

"There's a pretty disappointed dressing room in there at the moment, because they know how much it means to Pakistan," Hesson was quoted as saying by the AFP, who was in charge for his fourth defeat in a row to India following three at last year's Asia Cup. "We know that it's a huge event, Pakistan against India. We obviously won five games on the bounce before today so we were confident, but today we got outplayed," said Hesson.
"I think the ball was spinning quite a lot initially and we started off well but I think the way Kishan played, he took the game away from us."
For those unaware, Ishan Kishan's brilliant 77 helped India recover from a first-over dismissal of explosive opener Abhishek Sharma before Suryakumar Yadav (32) and Shivam Dube (27) lifted the total. Pakistan slumped to 13-3 with India's Jasprit Bumrah removing Saim Ayub (six) and skipper Salman Agha (four) in the second over.
Usman Khan top-scored with 44 as Pakistan were bowled out in 18 overs, with 114 their third-lowest total against India in all T20s.

Pakistan loses all eight matches at ODI
The defeat further worsened Pakistan's win-loss record in World Cups against India to 1-8. They have lost all eight matches to India at the ODI World Cup."We have to pick ourselves up and make sure that we're very good in two or three days," said Hesson. "We have played some good cricket in the lead-up to this World Cup so we're confident to do well in the tournament." India's third win in as many games took them to the Super Eights stage while Pakistan now need to win their last game against Namibia on Wednesday.
"I think this is for India. We played the same brand of cricket what we wanted to play. Batting first was better option on this wicket. Ishan thought something out of the box. After 0/1, someone had to take responsibility and the way he took it was amazing. It's difficult to say when you're batting first. Because you never know if there will be dew or how the pitch will play under lights. But we felt it was 15 above par. 155 could've been a tight game. It was great to see everyone contributing with the ball. We'll go back, have a good time together as a team and then think about the other games when we take the flight to Ahmedabad," said SuryaKumar Yadav.
"Our spinners had an off day. Execution was missing in some parts. We believe in our spinners, they've done well in last six months. We lost too many wickets in the powerplay with the bat. In the first innings it was tacky, the ball was gripping as well. The execution was missing with the ball. Pitch played better in the second innings than it did in the first. In these kind of games, the emotions are always going to be high. Have to deal with it. Have played enough games like that. Have a game in two days time, have to look forward to that. Need to win that game and qualify for the Super Eights. Then it's a new tournament again," said Pakistan skipper Salman Agha.
