Year ender 2025: From earthquake alerts to Titan, Croma and myG, here’s what India searched most in ‘near me’

In 2025, Indians turned to “near me” searches for everything from sudden safety concerns to everyday shopping needs. Queries ranged from earthquake alerts in sensitive regions to finding nearby eyewear stores, electronics showrooms, pharmacies and even ice cream parlours, as per Google Trends. The trend shows how people increasingly depend on local, instant information for both urgent updates and in-person retail experiences.

What Indians Searched “Near Me” in 2025

Earthquake near me

Early 2025 saw several low-magnitude tremors in parts of Delhi-NCR and Bihar. This led to a sharp rise in searches for “earthquake near me” as people looked for quick, location-based updates.

Titan Eye Plus store near me

Eyewear brand Titan Eye Plus featured prominently in local searches. The brand, having over 850 stores across India, emerged as one of the most searched eyewear chains in the ‘near me’ category.

Croma store near me

Electronics retailer Croma also ranked high in local searches. Croma is a brand of Infiniti Retail Ltd., which is part of the Tata Group.

Arrow store near me

Arrow, operated by Arvind Fashions., saw strong interest from shoppers.

Zeno Health near me

Searches for Zeno Health highlighted demand for affordable medicines close to home. The generic medicine chain has more than 180 stores across the country, as per the company’s website.

W for Woman store near me

Women’s ethnic wear brand W for Woman was also a popular local search. The brand is owned by Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail and has over 300 outlets nationwide.

Reebok store near me

Interest in Reebok stores continued in 2025. In 2021, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited signed a licensing deal with Authentic Brands Group, the owner of Reebok, to get exclusive rights to sell the brand’s products in India.

myG, Hocco and Wagh Bakri Tea Lounge near me

Regional electronics retailer myG saw a spike in “near me” searches in 2025. The company operates more than 140 stores, mainly across Kerala.

Food and beverage brands also drew strong local interest. Ice cream brand Hocco, formerly known as Havmor of Courts, featured in search trends.

At the same time, searches for Wagh Bakri Tea Lounges increased across cities such as Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and Goa.
