Xiaomi to launch 13 series in India early next year, price starts around Rs 47,300

Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi will soon be launching the Xiaomi 13 series in India. According to media reports, the Xiaomi 13 series will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and will feature a triple camera setup with Leica branding.

According reports, Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship model will come in two variants - Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. The 13 and 13 Pro will pack up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. Both variants are available for pre-order in China, and the domestic shipments will commence on December 14. The global shipments for the devices are expected to begin early next year.

Prices in China for Xiaomi 13 start from CNY 3,999 (Rs.47,300 approx.) and go up to CNY 4,999 (Rs.60,000 approx.) for the top variant. The Xiaomi 13 Pro starts at CNY 4,999 (Rs.60,000 approx.) and goes up to CNY 6,299 (Rs.74,500 approx.).


The Xiaomi 13 packs an FHD+ 6.36-inch display with a 120Hz fast refresh rate. The screen also supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HLG, offering a peak brightness of 1,900 nits. It gets a triple camera setup, with a Leica-powered 50MP primary lens with OIS, a 10MP telephoto lens with OIS, and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. It features a 32MP front-facing camera, which offers FHD video recording.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro dons a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED screen with a similar 120Hz refresh rate and supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HLG. Additionally, the Pro variant also gets Corning Gorilla Glass Victus screen protection. It gets three Leica cameras - wide, ultra-wide, and a 3.2x optical zoom telephoto.
