Xiaomi showcases prototype of wireless AR glasses at Mobile World Congress at Barcelona
Xiaomi revealed its prototype, Wireless AR glasses at the Mobile World Congress at Barcelona. The prototype claims to have a ‘retina-level’ display and has a pair of MicroLED screens.

The AR glasses are free of light-guiding prisms for recreating an image. Xiaomi has utilised electrochromic lenses that help in making adjustments for viewing in different light conditions. Besides, the electrochromic lenses also have a complete black out mode that claims to give the users a totally immersive experience. This experience can be compared to a VR headset.
An important feature of the AR glasses is that it can be wirelessly connected to Android phones, which should be either a Xiaomi 13 series phone or any Snapdragon Spaces Ready phone. These AR glasses use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR 2 Gen 1 platform with support for the Snapdragon Spaces XR development platform that can help execute various apps.
Furthermore, the company claims that Mi Share’s application streaming capability will allow the users to watch content through YouTube and TikTok through the AR glasses. The device also allows users to interact with real-life objects, like taking screenshots from TV to the glasses and switching on or off smart lamps.
