X down for multiple users across the world; feed, website & server issues spike

Elon Musk’s social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, is facing a major disruption for users across the world. The outage has affected core functions such as logging in, loading new posts and accessing both the app and website.

There were more than 11,500 reports of issues with the social media platform as of 5:15 PM (IST), according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collating status reports from a number of sources. The problems are mostly related to Feed (47%), Website (30%) and Server Connection issues (23%).

The social media platform has not issued a statement regarding what caused the disruption.


Cloudflare, a web infrastructure company, was also having issues that impacted other services. It was not immediately clear whether the outages were related.

Cloudflare said on its status page it was investigating the issue. The company's shares fell 4.1% in premarket trading.

"We are working to understand the full impact and mitigate this problem. More updates to follow shortly," it said.
