World Boxing Championships 2023: Anand Mahindra congratulates Nitu Ghanghas and Saweety Boora on winning historic gold

It was a proud moment for India when Nitu Ghanghas and Saweety Boora bagged the gold medal in World Boxing Championships 2023. The boxers received congratulatory messages from across the country, and one among them was from Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra. Taking to social media, Anand Mahindra wished the boxers for making the nation proud.
Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, Mahindra re-shared Delhi Police's post and congratulated Nitu for winning the first gold at the event. He wrote that he, along with his company, stood and cheered for the hometown hero. Further, the business tycoon shared a post on Twitter which featured both boxers and congratulated them for winning gold in the World Champion Indian boxers. He also said that India is proud of both girls.
Apart from Anand Mahindra, several other dignities including PM Modi, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sharma, Rahul Gandhi and others congratulated Nitu and Saweety for their respective gold medals. PM Modi congratulated Nitu and Saweety on their achievements, writing on Twitter that India is elated by their remarkable feat. He praised Nitu for winning the prestigious Gold Medal in the Women's Boxing World Championships, while Saweety's success will inspire many upcoming athletes. Nitu defeated Mongolia's Lutsaikhan Altantsetseg, while Saweety beat China's Lina Wang at the IBA Women's World Boxing Championships 2023.
