Pakistan secured a comprehensive victory in their final Group A match to seal a place in the semi-finals, joining India and Sri Lanka as the three confirmed teams in the last four. The final semi-final spot will be decided by the Bangladesh vs hosts UAE clash.

With the win, Pakistan secured their place in the semi-finals of the eight-team tournament. They will face Sri Lanka in the second semi-final on September 11.

Defending a modest total of 144, built largely around a brisk 47 from Shawaal Zulfiqar, 28-year-old Nashra never allowed the Hong Kong batters to settle. Pakistan picked up wickets at regular intervals to bowl Hong Kong out for just 71 and seal victory with six balls to spare.


Player of the Match Nashra returned figures of 4-0-7-6, registering the best bowling figures by a Pakistan women's cricketer in T20Is. She surpassed Omaima Sohail's five for 13 in four overs against Sri Lanka in Sylhet, Bangladesh, in 2022.
