He said no such provision exists in health department or Nursing Council regulations. An inquiry report has been sent to higher authorities for further action against the principal.
Controversial notice triggers backlash
The issue surfaced after the institute released a notice on April 16 directing female students not to marry during their training period. It warned that those who married would have their names removed from the college rolls. Inquiry and administrative action
A two-member committee, comprising deputy medical superintendent Ramesh Kumar and medical officer in charge Avinash, visited the school to verify the order. Their findings were submitted to the civil surgeon, who forwarded the report to senior officials for further action.Principal issues clarification
Responding to the criticism, principal Mansi Singh said the notice was not meant to impose a ban on marriage.
