Woman Youtuber films video with gun in hand. Uttar Pradesh Police reacts
Simran Yadav's controversial highway dance with a gun prompts investigation and criticism from social media and authorities. The incident raises concerns about gun laws and public safety in India.

The clip, which was posted on "X' by Advocate Kalyanji Chaudhary, shows Simran grooving to a Bhojpuri song in the middle of the road, openly displaying a gun in her hands.
Chaudhary's post read, "Instagram star Simran Yadav of Lucknow is openly flouting the law and code of conduct by waving a pistol on the highway and making a video viral to show off her community's power in the society, but the officials are maintaining silence," while tagging the authorities.
The video rapidly became popular on social media, leading the Lucknow Police to promptly take notice and respond. They stated that an investigation into the matter had been instructed to the concerned authorities, with a comment reading, "The concerned have been directed to take necessary action."
One user commented on Chaudhary's post, "Why is she showing a gun and all so casually in the middle of the street with people around? And sharing the same on the internet with such a massive following is simply not acceptable." Another user echoed the sentiment, stating, "I hope the authorities will take some kind of action against her reel. This is not corrected."
India has very strict gun laws. The law requires a person to obtain permission from the district magistrate to possess and carry a gun.
It states, "The licensee or any retainer acting under this licence shall not carry any arms covered thereby otherwise than in good faith for the purpose of sport/protection/display; and, save where he is specially authorized in this behalf by the District Magistrate concerned, he shall not take any such arms to a fair, religious procession or other public assemblage (or within the campus or precincts of any educational institution)."
