Afraid of being caught, woman flushes Rs 30 lakh diamond ring in toilet
A female staff member at a renowned skin and hair clinic in the city has been arrested for allegedly stealing a valuable diamond ring worth ₹30.69 lakh from a customer. The daring act of disposing of the stolen item came to light when the police successfully recovered the ring from the plumbing system connecting the clinic's toilet.

The incident unfolded when a customer, a woman, visited the upscale Jubilee Hills clinic last week for a routine hair removal procedure. The staff member responsible for attending to her requested that the customer place her ring in a secure box, which the customer obligingly did.

To her dismay, upon returning home, the customer realized that she had inadvertently left her cherished ring behind at the clinic. Promptly contacting the staff, she inquired about the missing ring and subsequently filed a complaint with the police.

Law enforcement authorities swiftly initiated an investigation into the matter. During the course of questioning the clinic staff, the female employee assigned to the hair removal session confessed to pilfering the ring. However, she admitted that out of fear of being apprehended, she had disposed of the stolen item by flushing it down the clinic's toilet.

Realizing the gravity of the situation, the police enlisted the assistance of a skilled plumber to recover the ring from the pipeline connected to the commode. Employing their expertise, the plumber successfully retrieved the precious diamond ring, thereby providing crucial evidence in the case. Subsequently, the woman staff member was taken into custody on charges of theft.

The audacious act of flushing a high-value item down the toilet demonstrates the desperation and fear that gripped the employee when confronted with the possibility of being caught by the authorities. While her motive for stealing the ring remains unclear, the incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of stringent security measures and employee supervision within businesses dealing with valuable assets.

This incident serves as a reminder to customers to remain vigilant and take precautions when entrusting their valuable possessions to others, even in seemingly reputable establishments.
