A 32-year-old woman has been booked in Maharashtra's Thane district for allegedly biting three fingers of her mother in law who wanted her to lower the volume.
Reports said the incident occurred when Vijaya Kulkarni wanted to watch television while her mother-in-law Vrushali was reciting bhajans. Vijaya lost her temper when the mother in law switched off the TV set.
"A fight broke out on Monday morning after Vrushali asked Vijaya to lower the sound of the television as she was singing bhajans. When Vrushali turned off the television set, the daughter-in-law grabbed the old woman's hand and bit her three fingers. She also slapped her husband who tried to intervene," PTI quoted a Shivaji Nagar police station official as saying.
Luckily, the three fingers of the victim were not severed. After a complaint by the mother in law, a complaint was registered at Shivajinagar police station.
