Wolverine making an entry in Avengers: Doomsday? Marvel's 8-hour hint ignites a frenzy

Marvel might be either totally missing the point or being super sneaky — because the way they're teasing the next Avengers movie, Avengers: Doomsday, feels more like a slow mystery with a romantic twist. The movie already has a star-studded cast including Robert Downey Jr., Pedro Pascal, Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd, Sebastian Stan, Vanessa Kirby, Channing Tatum, and Florence Pugh.

Now, since April is National Stress Awareness Month, Marvel's official YouTube channel dropped an 8.5-hour video of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine...just breathing. Yep, just breathing — but in a very intense way. That’s all it took for fans to go wild with theories.

Many are now convinced that Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will be in Avengers: Doomsday. Fans commented things like:

“I’m taking this as confirmation Hugh is in Doomsday.”
“They’re doing everything except officially announcing him.”
“Hugh’s locked in Marvel’s basement until they get his chair ready.”
“First the chair livestream, now this — are they teasing how long the movie will be?”

Of course, no talk about Wolverine is complete without bringing up Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool. Fans were quick to link the two again with comments like:
“This is definitely what Deadpool listens to when he sleeps.”
“Are we all just waiting for Hugh and Ryan to admit they’re secretly a couple?”

One fan, however, brought a more serious thought to the table:
“If someone shows up in Doomsday, they’ll probably be killed off — maybe we should hope they show up in the next movie instead.”
