Irfan Pathan looks intense in Cobra trailer, cricketers give a shout out

Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan is all set for his silver screen debut with Ajay Gnanamuthu's directorial 'Cobra'. In the trailer of the upcoming Tamil movie, Pathan can be seen sharing the screen with Chiyaan Vikram and Shrinidhi Shetty.

Many from the cricket fraternity came forward and congratulated him. Cricketer Deepak Hooda tweeted the trailer and recalled a conversation with Pathan where the for the former India player told him," I’ll do everything in life, I’m an all rounder”!



Suresh Raina expressed his support and said on Twitter, "so happy for you brother @IrfanPathan to watch you perform in #Cobra. This looks like a complete action packed film, wishing you & entire cast huge success on this. Can’t wait to watch this one."


Robin Uthappa also congratulated Pathan for his new avatar and tweeted, "Watch out for this dasher!! Congratulations my brother on yet another avatar in your journey. I'm so happy for you and I can't wait to watch #cobra and whistle when you come onscreen. Wishing you all the love and success!! Love you brother!!."


Actor Sunil Shetty also tweeted his support for the cricketer, " A true all-rounder by all means @IrfanPathan. Hats off to you!! All the very best to you, @chiyaan and the entire cast and crew of #Cobra".


On August 25, Irfan himself shared the trailer on Twitter saying, "Every Problem Has A Mathematical Solution". The movie is all set to hit the screen on August 31.

In the movie, Vikram can be seen sporting at least seven different get ups, including as an aged Chinese national, as per reports. The trailer has spiked expectations from the film.

Earlier this month, Pathan was in the news for his "very bad experience" in the Vistara flight. The cricketer alleged that the airline was involuntarily downgrading his ticket class which was a confirmed booking, and he was made to wait at the counter for a resolution. Later, the airline assured of all corrective measures.
