Oscar-winning composer and singer AR Rahman joined Thakur and others on the red carpet in a black bandhgala with sunglasses.

At the event, Rahman's directorial debut 'Le Musk' will have a world premiere in Cannes XR, Marche Du Films. It is a 36-minute VR film that stars Nora Arnezeder and Guy Burnet in pivotal roles.

Film and Television Institute of India Chairperson Shekhar Kapur, who is known for directing renowned films like 'Masoom', 'Bandit Queen', and 'Vishwaroopam 2', among others, was also one of the members of the Indian delegation.

Kapur opted for a white kurta-pyjama with a matching Nehru jacket and a neon pink pocket square.

Rajasthani singer Mame Khan made history by becoming the first folk artist to open the red carpet for India at the Cannes Film Festival. He opted for a traditional Rajasthani ensemble featuring a vibrant pink Kurta-pyjama and an ethnic blue jacket with gold embroidery.

Khan has lent his voice to songs from Bollywood movies like 'Luck By Chance' (2009), 'No One Killed Jessica' (2011) and 'Sonchiriya' (2019) among others. He has also been featured on Coke Studio along with singer Amit Trivedi.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui turned his swag on in a tailored black tuxedo and matching sunglasses. He completed his look with a black bowtie.

Fashion designer Manish Malhotra made actor R Madhavan's Cannes moment special in a dazzling tailored black suit with sequins at the collar. The 'Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein' star completed his look with a bowtie, black shades and a pair of Dolce Gabbana shoes.

Written and directed by Madhavan, 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect' is a biographical drama based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, an aerospace engineer who worked for the Indian Space Research Organisation. It will have its world premiere at the Palais des Festivals on May 19.

Oscar winning-composer AR Rahman shared a picture with superstar Kamal Haasan, who was also at the Cannes festivities at the French Riviera.

While Rahman is at the event for the premiere of his directorial debut movie 'Le Musk', Haasan will launch the trailer of his upcoming film 'Vikram' at the grand festival.

The music composer opted for a black suit, Kamal looked dapper in a printed coat.

Two-time Grammy Award-winning composer Ricky Kej decided to go sustainable on the Cannes red carpet. He recreated his 2022 Grammy look for the gala in his navy blue Achkan featuring buttons in the front and a red pocket square.

Kej is part of the Indian delegation this year.
