Explosives will be used to demolish the towers for which the Supreme Court has already given the clearance.
Initially the demolition was supposed to start on 21 August but later the Apex court extended the date to 28 August.

It is alleged that the towers were built by overlooking building norms and that is why they are being razed. The Supreme Court in its order said there was "nefarious complicity" between the Noida Authority and Supertech and instructed the company to demolish the towers at its own expense.
The Apex Court also ordered the company to refund the money to apartment buyers.
