Will Chandrayaan 3 rover imprint Indian national emblem and ISRO logo on the moon?
ISRO's Chandrayaan 3 mission has left imprints of the national emblem and ISRO logo on the Moon's surface, symbolizing India's achievement in lunar exploration. The rover, Pragyan, successfully landed on the Moon's south pole on August 23 and will...

Meanwhile, several news websites claimed that the rover's wheels have ISRO's logo and India's emblem, which will be imprinted on the moon's surface and signify the rover's presence on the celestial body.
However, ISRO has officially not said anything like this so far.
The video, which is the basis of the claim, is available on ISRO's Youtube page, but it talks about the Pragyan rover of the failed Chandrayaan 2 mission, not the current one.
In a precision landing, Chandrayaan 3's LM Vikram touched down the lunar surface at 6.04 pm on Wednesday, sending the nation into wild celebrations.
The lander (Vikram) and rover (Pragyan) -- with a total mass of 1,752 kg -- are poised to function throughout a 'lunar day,' equivalent to 14 Earth days.
Within this span, their mission entails studying the lunar environment, surface conditions, and, notably, investigating the presence of water on the moon. However, ISRO officials have hinted at the possibility of extending the mission for an additional lunar day.
The Moon's southern pole, enshrouded in perpetual shadow, has remained an enigma. Yet, Chandrayaan 3's rover is set to collect potential water samples and illuminate this uncharted lunar region.
Chandrayaan 3's objectives on the lunar surface are fourfold: investigating moonquakes, exploring the thermal conductivity of the lunar surface, analysing the proximity of a plasma environment to the lunar terrain, and precisely measuring the Earth-Moon distance.
For those unfamiliar with the feat, India achieved history with the successful landing of ISRO's Chandrayaan 3 on the Moon's south pole on August 23, 2023. The nation became the first to accomplish this remarkable milestone and the fourth to make a lunar landing overall.
